Water Well Drilling

Now that you have the property of your dreams, what do you do? You want to build the dream house, but you need water in order to get your building permit. Where do you start?

The first major issue is where the property is located. Some counties in the Pacific Northwest require county site approval before the well is drilled. For a fee, the county will inspect the site and give their approval of the location of the well.

The second major issue is finding a knowledgeable and competent well driller. That's where Dahlman Pump & Well Drilling Inc. comes in! With almost 50 years of experience, we believe that our methods provide the best available method of drilling for our customers. With three state licensed and nationally certified water well drillers, our expertise gives you the most for your money.

Filtration Systems

If there is a problem with the water, we work with water treatment professionals to meet your specific water problems. A sample of the water is taken and sent to the laboratory. The lab analyzes the sample and sends a report on what would be necessary to treat the problem. The one size fits all approach does not always work. A system that is designed specifically for your water lasts longer, has fewer maintenance problems, and saves you money. The old saying "You get what you pay for" truly applies to water treatment systems.

We at Dahlman Pump & Well Drilling Inc. personally guarantee the filtration equipment that we install. We combine our expertise with water treatment engineers to provide safe drinking water for your home.

Pumps & Installation

Dahlman Pump & Well Drilling Inc. offers a wide variety of pumps to choose from. The majority of pumps that are installed in wells today are submersible pumps. We service submersible, shallow well and deep well jet pumps, in-line turbine pumps, and centrifugal pumps.
The advantages of a submersible pump over any other type of pump are:

1. No pumphouse
2. No suction problems
3. Takes less horsepower to deliver more water
4. Less maintenance
5. Cheaper to install
6. No problems with freezing of pump

The average lifetime of a submersible pump is twelve years.

After the well is drilled, we will install the correctly sized pump and pressure tank to meet your family's needs. With over fifty pumps in stock, you have a wide selection to choose from. Brand names include J-Class, Goulds, Berkley, Sta-Rite, Red Jacket, and Flint & Walling.

Jet Pumps
A jet pump is another type of pump that can be used on a water system. Jet pumps are used for both shallow and deep well installations. A shallow well jet pump is used when the well is 25 feet deep or less. Over 25 feet is considered a deep well and requires a deep well jet pump.

Inside a jet pump water is pumped through a venturi or jet. As water passes through the jet, the velocity of the water increases creating a vacuum which pulls the water from the well. The advantages of a jet pump are the pump is above ground and generally less costly to repair.
